[8/1/2010] The Beatitudes

Yes! Praise God for the wonderful Saturday! Spending a short 10 minutes post to wrap up the excitement! Another expectation for the Saturdays achieved =) Awesome morning blasted off with Inductive Bible Study briefing at FES penang house, thanks to Darshini! Praise God could meet all the awesome CGLs today and lunch with them! then back to room and went to SNL church, this time with bringing friends! and glad that finally an intern asked me if there is any church nearby =D sweet!

Yes a simple eye catching quote in SNL =)

Did i tell you i spend around 20 bucks on meal daily? well.. and this is not for 2, but just for me, and i got a heavy supper again after that -.-"

There is this passage we discussed during IBS.. want to share! =) Most of the time we read bible just like a storybook, well indeed it is a very interesting
true storybook, but IBS is a different approach where you really analyze down the words. A simple NIV versoin text and the study bible will show you, why some people could spend whole day talking over a simple sentence. Presenting!
The Beatitudes (Matthew Chapter 5:1-11)

He said:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

I wouldn't go into detail IBS for this post, but some of you might find this very inspiring already at the surface of this context. It's like really about good deeds and all. True enough! But more will be revealed as IBS takes place soon!

and yes later Sunday will be awesome day of Spring Cleaning day at Georgetown, the initiative from the government! then assignments, then captainball and then PandW meet! =D
