Google Story, a story for the whole world to know.

Google has become the world’s first $100 billion  brand

That's amazing isn't it? Many of us knows what is Google.. duh =.= but do we really know the story it takes for a 11 years company to become the most expensive branding value company today?

Just incase you are curious about the top 100 global brands by value list 2008 and 2009,
you could click here.
Looks like many companies have felt the deep impact of the recent recession. Badly.
“In the current environment brand has become even more important because it can help to sustain companies in tough times,”
said Joanna Seddon, chief executive of Millward Brown, which created the BrandZ list.

A few interesting pics for how Google working place is like.. =)
I guess you know that google is trying to emphasise on the balance of working-living lifestyle.

Google knows a lot more about you then you know more about Google. It's a story to be told to the world, an Extraordinary one.
Meet David A.Vise, the awesome author behind the book 'THe Google's Story'

Man just reminded me i have just read this book by a quarter of it, and now it suddenly motivates me to continue reading. The book is awesome i must admit, telling how Larry Page and Sergey Brin created the most charismatic business brand today, after just 11 years of History. Guess i need to continue to read on that story book!

Based on scrupulous research and extraordinary access to Google, the book takes you inside the creation and growth of a company whose name is a favorite brand and a standard verb recognized around the world. Its stock is worth more than General Motors’ and Ford’s combined, its staff eats for free in a dining room run by a former chef for the Grateful Dead, and its employees traverse the firm’s colorful Silicon Valley campus on scooters and inline skates.

The Google Story is the definitive account of the populist media company powered by the world’s most advanced technology that in a few short years has revolutionized access to information about everything for everybody everywhere. In 1998, Moscow-born Sergey Brin and Midwest-born Larry Page dropped out of graduate school at Stanford University to, in their own words, “change the world” through a search engine that would organize every bit of information on the Web for free.

While the company has done exactly that in more than one hundred languages, Google’s quest continues as it seeks to add millions of library books, television broadcasts, and more to its searchable database. Readers will learn about the amazing business acumen and computer wizardry that started the company on its astonishing course; the secret network of computers delivering lightning-fast search results; the unorthodox approach that has enabled it to challenge Microsoft’s dominance and shake up Wall Street. Even as it rides high, Google wrestles with difficult choices that will enable it to continue expanding while sustaining the guiding vision of its founders’ mantra: DON’T BE EVIL.

And yes there are so many things we do not know about Google obviously. Google search engine, as being the most advance search engine on the net and its latest Google Chrome are just the very small part of it..
Don't you know that Googles even assemble their own PCs? or yea and one thing i highlighted in my few previous post is about Google Earth though.

Have you ever thought?
Internet = Google
Google almost covers everything online, and many more we do not know. haha.

p/s i know its another long winded boring post. haha. But heh! it's google =p

  1. talk about Google, one or two years ago I read that Microsoft wanted to rival Google so much that the former was willing to buy ANYTHING (company) that has yet to be bought by the latter lol, including paying Mark Zuckerburg a big sum of money for a little portion of shares in Facebook. Talk about effort in branding ;-)
